Pi Day
Yes. As much as I despise math I'm going to acknowledge that today is the day of pi. And I also have to add that I feel bad for those who still go to Monte, because you definately are not in school today, therefore you are not getting pie in Mr. Helvies class. Whatever my career ends up being, I'm going to make sure I provide pie for my fellow coworkers on this day.

if you want to rock, I'm ready to roll
I am being bugged every morning about posting a new entry, and since most things I've wanted to post on are secrets, I must think of something random. Perhaps ten random things?
1. I've recently become obsessed with the color purple. Not the book. The color. Dark, deep purple. Light, airy purple. Purple houses (once it gets sunny I'll be posting a picture of my new dream house that I stalk), purple purses, purple backgrounds, purple everything. I'm crazy. (Oh, and I'm drinking my tea out of a purple eeyore cup this morning, fitting.)
2. I've washed the same pile of clothes twice because I let them sit too long before folding them and they get wrinkly. They are currently waiting for their third wash.
3. With all the weddings and babies recently I've decided I need to become a party planner. Is that a realistic goal? All party, all the time.
4. At the bottom of this new entry thing there are examples for "labels for this post": scooters, vacation, fall. I want to meet the person who put scooters on there.
5. I think Kentucky, Wisconsin, 29 Palms, Pullman, Ellensburg and Olympia are all too far away. (And Chehalis, sorry Tiff!)
6. I want to make best friends with an elderly person and meet them at the park everyday to sit on a bench and talk.
7. I recently busted out my pastels for some artwork, I forgot how much art used to consume my life. I miss that.
8. In my english class the other day my teacher had to tell us that he wanted two spaces after each period. And people looked around in amazement like they didn't always do that. I thought it was always assumed?
9. I want to move out of my giant room back in to my little one so that I can use every square inch of this room for crafting purposes.
10. I think the only way I'd agree to have children at this point in my life is if I could name them all after Transformers. Ironhide, Optimus, Ratchet, Sideswipe, Megatron, Skids, Mudflap, Bumblebee, Jazz, Jetfire, the Fallen, Rampage, Blackout, Barricade, Demolisher, Star Scream, Ravage, Scalpel, Weelie. Watch out Duggars!

My sister (the only person who reads this) is pregnant. (: The lovely new addition to the Pantier family is due August 27th. My mom asked me to start thinking of ways to decorate the room we are making for the baby at our house. And knowing me all too well she gave me a sufficient 6 months to come up with ideas and start planning. The baby will remain sexless for a few more weeks so Ican't make any major decisions yet, but so far I'm thinking turtles for a boy, and peach/yellow/purple stripes for a girl. I found the cutest Dr. Suess quote to put on the wall if it's a boy, "And the turtles, of course...All the turtles are free, as turtles and, maybe, all creatures should be." I'm sure I'll be posting a lot more ideas on here to keep track of them, and to get Mandee's opinion. These are my favorite so far. Jo? (:

The soul is healed by being with children.
I've always dreaded Wednesdays...(Thursdays, Fridays, Mondays and Tuesdays too!) But lately I've come to realize that I make it through the entire week solely for Wednesday nights. Since September I've been a leader in a small Awana club. This is my first year in the club so I always feel a little lost and out of place. But lately, it's just working out. I'd had the same five kids since we started in September, and a few weeks ago I was informed that we switched kids once a year. No one told me this when I signed on to do this! I loved my kids! I was used to them, they were comfortable with me, and they listened! How could they do this to me? I was stressed. Well, I got four new kids and kept one of my old ones. They're turning out to be just as fabulous as my first five. It amazes me how intelligent these fourth and fifth graders can be. They're so polite and considerate of one another, and of me. They are so care-free.
I love wednsedays and the fact that every day is one day closer to it.
