Prototype huh?

I just spent an hour downloading songs from my youth. I love how songs hold memories, and how each word came spilling back in to my brain, and I've been sitting here singing them every since. Anyways, it's been a week, I'm a failure at blogging. My life is just too boring to post everyday. I was looking around on etsy and miraculously found my transformer garters again. I decided to save the picture so that when I get married in a decade, Mandee can make them for me. Because she's the best sister on this planet. This was a surprisingly busy week. Tuesday was family dinner night, as usual, and then Danica and I had our first bible study with Grandma. We are going through the women of the bible, and so far it's a great workbook. We, of course, started with Eve. Grandma made it a lot about marriage since of the upcoming nuptials (yes, I've wanted to use that phrase for awhile). I learned something that astounded me that night. Most people, believers or not, know the story of Adam and Eve, how Eve was tempted by the serpent and ate from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, and in turn mankind was banned from the Garden and yes, childbirth was made painful. But something I didn't know was that Adam was with Eve when all of this was happening. Genesis 3:6 "...gave also to her husband with her, and he ate". I was amazed by this. It's not one of those verses that sticks in your head nor does it have any great impact on you when you're reading it. But when set apart and made to study it, you see that man was there to protect her and he failed at that.

Grandma also said a little quote that she told us she would put in her wedding if she ever got married again "God made woman from man's rib, not from his head that he should command her, nor from his feet that he should walk upon her, but rather from his side to be his partner in life, from under his arm to be protected by him, and from near his heart to be loved by him." And since Grandma and Papa have been married 40+ years, another wedding isn't likely. I called dibs on this quote. (:
